Our Team

We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the latest in technological advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

At the Chattanooga Center for Comprehensive Dentistry, we are privileged to have a fantastic team of health care providers to help you with your individual needs. Caring for each patient’s individual comfort and needs is our staff’s number one priority. Each staff member has been trained with the latest techniques in dental care, as well as safety and first aid. AmberAmber Jo Thomas

Dental Assistant

Amber Jo studied at Chattanooga State Community College in the dental assisting program. She is a dental assistant at the Chattanooga Center for Comprehensive Dentistry, and has the pleasure of working alongside Dr. Paul and Dr. Trey Carico. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, kayaking and spending time with her family.

Implant Coordinator/Dental Assistant

April has been working at the Center since 2011. She has two passions. The first is her dental career. She feels blessed to be able to work alongside the talented doctors at the Chattanooga Center for Comprehensive Dentistry. She loves having a key role in changing patients’ lives one smile at a time. Her second passion is weightlifting: when not at the Center, she spends her free time at the gym.


BBeaBonnie Bea Tabor

Dental Assistant

BBea is married with two sweet boys: Douglas and Luke. She graduated from the dental assistant program at Chattanooga State Community College in May of 2016 and subsequently started working at the Chattanooga Center for Comprehensive Dentistry in June of 2016. It has been a privilege for her to work with wonderful dentists, who not only provide high-quality dental care, but also take their time to listen to each patient’s individual needs. She is proud to be part of such a friendly, dedicated staff. Teeth are important to her and she takes great pride in being a healthcare professional. BBea looks forward to meeting you!


CherylCheryl Carico

Insurance Coordinator/Bookkeeper

Che’Che’, wife to Paul Carico and mother to Trey Carico, has been the Center for Comprehensive Dentistry’s patient liaison with insurance companies for over 25 years! She works tirelessly to procure any and all available benefits from a patient’s insurance plan. Away from the Center, Che’ closely follows the lives of her three sons, two daughters-in-law, and seven grandchildren. She is a tireless member of the Signal Mountain Playhouse Board, working diligently behind the scenes to ensure that the “show will go on.” She also is an avid hiker. Not only is she the leader of the Wednesday group of the Chattanooga Hiking Club, but has also completed nearly all of the hiking trails in southeast Tennessee, southwest North Carolina, northern Georgia, northern Alabama, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.


ChristineChristine Smith

Dental Hygienist

Christine has been blessed to be a dental hygienist since 2011. She received her education and training in dental hygiene from Chattanooga State Community College. She has loved getting to know her patients during their dental visits, and relishes the opportunity that it gives her to improve their overall health. The ability to build friendships with patients during their treatment is one of the main reasons Christine joined the dental profession. Working with patients to improve their oral health through consistent oral hygiene has been a thrill for her. Christine has loved working at the Chattanooga Center for Comprehensive Dentistry for almost two years. She is married and has two fur babies.


ChristineJennifer Rose Eggert-Michael

Purchasing Coordinator/Dental Assistant

Jennifer is a Registered Dental Assistant with Chattanooga Center for Comprehensive Dentistry. In this role, Jennifer assists the doctors to provide a variety of different procedures. In 2010, she received an associate’s degree from Miller-Motte Technical College, where she gained her radiation certification. She is also certified in nitrous oxide monitoring and basic CPR/first aid. Jennifer loves helping her patients achieve the smiles they deserve. Jennifer is married and has two boys. In her spare time, she enjoys writing poems, designing and taking photography.


MandyMandy Shell

Dental Hygienist

Mandy is a Registered Dental Hygienist with the state of Tennessee. She graduated in 1998 from Chattanooga State Technical Community College with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. She also graduated in 2002 from The University of St. Francis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Arts. She has had the pleasure of working for Dr. Paul Carico and Dr. Trey Carico for over 18 years. Mandy enjoys being a part of a dental team that strives to offer quality care to all of our patients. She is glad to be a health care provider and hopes to help as many patients as possible lead healthier lives through dentistry. She is also grateful to call her bosses and coworkers her friends. Mandy is thankful to call her patients her friends as well, after knowing them for so long. She is married and has three children. She has lived in Chattanooga her whole life, and deeply values the quality of her city and her occupation!


MelissaMelissa Whitmire

Scheduling/Financial Coordinator

Melissa is a wife and mother of three. She attended Miller Motte Technical College and graduated in 2011 with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Assisting. She performed her 300 clinical hours at the Chattanooga Center for Comprehensive Dentistry and has been here ever since. She is now the Scheduling Coordinator. Her friendly voice will most likely be the first voice you here when calling our office. Melissa uses her dental assisting skills to schedule our patients so that our patient’s time is used as efficiently as possible.
